Leadership Minor

A minor in Leadership is available to students completing requirements for a Bachelor’s Degree in Theology.

In addition to the requirements for the bachelor’s degree, students must earn 18 credits (6 courses; all listed are 3 credits) from the course list below. The courses for the minor in Leadership take place of the ‘elective’ options in the bachelor’s requirements.

Courses numbered in the 100’s are limited to first year students, 200’s are limited to first and second year students, 300’s are limited to second and third year students and 400’s are exclusively for bachelor candidates in their third year. [Course descriptions]

 

Required Courses – 9 credits

All students seeking a minor in Leadership, must complete the following courses:

  • LEA 304 – Communication in Organizations
  • LEA 305 -Entrepreneurship
  • LEA 309 – Project Leadership

 

Elective Courses – 9 credits

Students should choose 9 credits (3 courses) from the following course options:

  • LEA201 – Leadership Principles
  • LEA204 – Financial Accountability and Leadership
  • LEA205 – Seminar in Organizational Communication
  • LEA302 – Assessing Leadership Types and Styles
  • LEA306 – Innovation and Problem Solving in Work Forces
  • LEA307 – Leaders for NGOs and Volunteer Organizations
  • LEA308 – Leadership Development and Assessment in Organizations
  • LEA310 – Leadership in Pre-College Educational Institutions
  • LEA311 – Special Topics
  • LEA402 – Marketing Principles
  • LEA403 – Meeting the Leadership Challenge
  • LEA404 – Leadership Practicum
